About us


Raimund Albersdörfer oversees all aspects in company’s business, and is responsible for all phases in the excavation activities. He is a trained geologist of the University of Nuernberg -Erlangen, and former assistant of Dr. J. Mehl at the Forschungsstelle fuer interdisziplinaere Paleontologie.   After finishing his degree in Paleontology - Geology in 1989, he founded his own company, Albersdörfer Fossils, and now has almost 20 years of professional experience in the field of commercial paleontology, and completing numerous museum projects in Europe, North America and the Middle East. His laboratory is one of the most renowned paleontological preparation facilities in Europe, were many new techniques for scientifically accurate fossil preparation have been developed. Raimund has conducted important fossil excavations in Europe - several in cooperation with public museums - and is still exclusively excavating the Painten Quarry, one of the most important fossil localities known throughout Europe.

Henry Galiano is the project manager and researcher for Dinosauria International, LLC. He is also the owner of New York City’s well known and publicized Maxilla & Mandible, Ltd., - a natural history business established in1984. Since his childhood, Henry has been interested in science and art.  Henry graduated from art school and then took apprenticeship position at the American Museum of Natural History.  To enhance his apprenticeship, he attended courses at Columbia University and Hunter College. During his eleven years employed at the Department of Vertebrate Paleontology, AMNH, Henry collected fossils throughout the Western and Southern parts of the United States, curated and researched the Museum’s magnificent vertebrate fossil collections.  He has authored several publications in both scientific journals and popular magazines, and is acknowledged in the field for his paleontological research contributions.  By virtue of his accomplishments in these activities, Henry has been, and is still, recognized as a practicing paleontologist in good standing with many professional affiliations

Giant remains of Brachiosaur discovered

 

twincky

only about 500 m away from Dana Quarry a little outcrop of Morrison Formation delivered the remains of a giant Sauropod. Unfortunatly the fossil bearing sediments are mostly eroded away already, so that only a few bones of this monster could be rescued: this Humerus, some ribs and several vertebrae.
